Description
Itās easy to mistake Marzi for a simple chav from his outfit, lanky limbs and odd posture. He has a sort of inoffensive air at first, though his speech sets an unnerving tone. His sentences sometimes go by too fast, and other times the words slur and merge into singular phonemes. Itās hard to tell if heās sober or in a cocaine daze at most occasions. Heās often seen grinning, with his jaw locked in place, and telling you how much smarter he is than others.
He isnāt too concerned with his appearance. He grew up seeing his fatherās excessive opulence, yet Marzi still opts to wear his Adidace tracksuits. If he wants to show off, he can very easily pull out his Lampreyghini out of his garage.
However, he isnāt stingy, and often allows his friends and guests to ātake and use whatever they wantā. He knows that he can make any amount of wealth back in no time. On the flipside, he doesnāt mind using other people for his goals, even if it means ruining them.
Story
Early years
Marzi is the product of one of his fatherās affairs, and he wasnāt expected, so to speak. Tresor Tiede acquitted the woman from raising an unwanted hatchling, and grew Marzi as his son. Tresorās wife found out and... nothing happened. Because both of his parents were living more in their offices than in their house, Marzi was often left in the care of other people, like hired nannies who would quit after a few days. Marzi was very needy and wouldnāt know how to play nicely, and he even shot the eyes of a jellyfish babysitter once with a foam toy gun.
When Marzi turned 16, he found out about Tresor's illicit work and kept bothering his father to be part of the Trade. He was let to become a ādistributorā at 18, when he also got his own lethal gun, absolutely sanctioned by Squidforce. Distribution involved sending and picking up orders from the underground (meeting with Octolings at manholes), but he started dealing drugs on the street as well. For his safety, he worked together with Syro, a long-time distributor for Tresor.
2015 M.E.
At 22, his father died in a car accident. Marzi was suddenly in a position of tremendous power, as the first in line to inherit his wealth and market business. He became the leader of anyone under Tresorās command, something that wouldāve made many quit, if not for Marzi threatening to kill them for leaving. Marzi considered Syro his left hand man, and the two pretty much continued their work, business as usual, while parts of the Tilda Trade crumbled into the Northern Triad.
Marzi planned to expand his territory of influence, in order to gain access to more Valley and Canyon-linked manholes, and keep the Triad under control. He started purchasing random properties close to the manholes and registering them under Bottlenose Pharmaceuticals. This caught the authoritiesā eyes and they seized the locations to investigate, so he had to switch plans and open up another pretend business that wouldnāt trace back to him.
Marzi met Dana in a casino, and he would meet her multiple times while cheating at poker together, making drug deliveries for her, then stumbling into the strip club she worked for. All of their encounters made them grow in familiarity, and Marzi would ask Dana to help him spin up a new business front, with the condition that sheād sign everything under her name. She accepted.
