Description

Her half-smile darts across the room, and it’s somehow welcoming. She’s got a lucrative sense of humour, and manages to stay classy with it. She lets her confidence, her independence and her pride in her achievements known. She is detail-oriented, her eyes don’t miss even a loose stitching in her sweater. Her talent and creativity shine in her job, and the “business first, fun after” ideology brought her a swift rise in her profession. She is a great negotiator, and handles business talk very well.

She’s rigid with her standards however, and refuses to let herself relax before something is completed. She holds low tolerance for anything that's in her way. Only after her tasks are done for the day, she can wind down and let her light-hearted self out. In her own quality time, she learns to play the acoustic guitar by herself.

Story

Early years

Beryl is the youngest of two sisters. At a young age, she was separated from her sister, as their parents had broken up, and had married other people. Beryl had stayed with her father in the heart of Inkopolis, in a skyscraper apartment. Her step-sister Donna hatched when she was 4. Beryl’s favourite subject as a kid was Physics, and she focused on it until her 2nd University year. Although her family was affluent, from 18, she took a summer job as a waitress at Myrtle, a small bar in Inkopolis. She withdrew from her University course, as the career prospects didn’t appeal to her anymore, and had become a full-time waitress and barback at 19. A few years later, as some of the management stepped down, Beryl was offered a promotion for her great performance. She started working behind the bar and managing part of the business.

2015-2016 M.E.

Myrtle’s original owners wished to step down and close the business, as it's lost its heyday traffic, though Beryl had offered to keep it going. At 22, she struck a deal to keep it open for as long as it was profitable, and as long as she had her own slice of it. She also started noticing a rather persistent regular - Rodi, and saved him from many roofie attempts. He and Lynda would be her most reliable, and most chaotic regulars.

2016-2017 M.E.

Beryl gained full ownership over Myrtle, though wished to open a bar in a more popular area of Inkopolis, and Rodi caught wind of it. She allowed him to train from barback to bartender at her new location, Treasure, with the expectation that he'd take over Myrtle for her. She continued mentoring Rodi and his partner Olive as they reopened Myrtle (now called Mimosa) and turned it around.
