Description
A man of simple pleasures, and he’s not afraid to show it. Behind his thick, flowery perfume scent and overbearing flirt, he keeps a wit that’s hard to match. An opportunist in every situation, he gives off the impression of always being ahead of your steps. He has seen and heard it all already - "seen this, sucked that", as he would say.
He doesn't think much about first impressions, as they don't matter to him. He likes keeping a safe distance from any personal questions with any new people, but he never fails to provide too much information about his drunk/horny/weird adventures.
Beyond the interesting initial conversation, he dismantles his seemingly shallow view of life and finds something profound in all of his vices. He's prone to confuse his dreams for his reality, and always bites more than he can chew. He often bottles up discomfort, brushing it off with a joke, or running from it altogether.
Story
Early years
His hatch place is Dodecanea. His parents, Rhea and Jacob Isandro, have moved to Inkopolis for business reasons. At 4, he was enrolled in a kindergarten in Inkopolis and stayed in the state’s public educational system until 17. He struggled to find a vocation or a hobby that would stick with him. Throughout his childhood, he also had problems with loneliness and erratic behaviour, making him seem even more standoffish to his peers. While he had a handful of friends at any time, he hadn’t considered them close friends, and neither did them. From 16, instead of battling like the other kids, he spent most of his free time in online chatrooms, a number of them incredibly inappropriate for his age (which he lied about).
At 15, his parents had a sudden, stormy divorce, which ended in Jacob taking custody over Rodi in court. Rodi became even more of a loner, as he was very close to his mother. He spent the rest of his disgruntled teenage years in the same house as his father, and got a bunch of gig jobs after graduating high school (flyer distribution, marketing stalls in Mako Mart, that kind of stuff).

At 19, he bought a motorbike and an apartment from his savings (and a bit of help from dad’s stolen credit card) and moved to live by himself in a vibrant part of Inkopolis. Having found freedom like never before, he began clubbing and partying nearly every night. He started to exploring and discovering his sense of identity in a very short and hectic time, and soon gained popularity and notoriety among other nightclub regulars. He also accumulated a number of one night stands and short, casual relationships. He befriended Beryl throughout his many outings, who was working at a bar called Myrtle at the time. He befriends another regular there, Lynda.
One night, while returning from a bar, he crashed his bike to avoid hitting a jaywalker at full speed. The accident left him with minor injuries, and three days in the hospital, though his bike had to be repaired. He was solely living on savings during this period, which were cut down by his accident. What was initially a jokey suggestion from Beryl, Rodi considered working as a stripper. He began performing guest nights, and then settled at a club called Amygdala. Marzi and Dana auditioned him and let him become part of the house. He enjoyed his stripper fumes and had tangential encounters with Marzi’s illegal affairs. Rodi quit working at Amygdala after Dana was found unconscious on the floor.
Still a bit traumatised by Dana and still walking aimlessly through life, he tried joining various amateur Turf War tournaments. He encountered Olive in one of them, and promptly got the two disqualified. Rodi soon learned that Olive was getting evicted. To make up for his mistake, Rodi let him live at his apartment for a month.

In the background, Rodi was planning on returning to stripping, though he had postponed it while Olive was living with him. He was taking various odd jobs around the city to keep himself busy, while Olive worked at Kelp Dome. Olive’s stay extended, the two developed feelings for each other, and ended up living together indefinitely.
Yet another pivot happened in Rodi’s life, as he followed his dream of opening up his own business. Beryl was switching locations for her new bar, and Rodi persuaded her into selling the old location (Myrtle) to him (very drunkenly). Beryl proposed he should learn the ropes at her new location, thus Rodi worked as a bartender for her for a few months. Rodi quickly climbed to General Manager and was entrusted Myrtle's keys. Together with Olive, he prepared the old place for opening and named it Mimosa.

Mimosa became a fairly successful local venue. A full Splatfest night fired up Rodi's ambitions for more. Together with Olive, they worked towards paying Beryl's loan of the place off, to become full owners of their basement bar. They filled the rote of their night shifts with various attempts at fame: a flairtending competition, another huge Splatfest night, and a high profile mixology competition.
